Accumulate the most points in the different stages of the season rounds and become the Division Champion. In Challenger Division IX Round 1 the processor choice is limited to Classic platforms like Socket A and others with AGP only motherboards. You can find more information about restrictions on the competition stage pages.

Currently there's no restriction on the AM3 stage. I guess those have been left out by accident?

Yep. Looks like 3DM03 can be run on 939 AGP (for ex. NF3 250) and even native 479 boards. That opens up a lot of possibilities.
Yes, however I have the same question about 3rd stage - are there no limits really or they were left out for some reason?
